Anni Kupper
Originally born in Bonn (Germany) Anni has been juggling since the age of 14. She started her professional formation to become circus artist 6 years later at the Ecole de Cirque Zofy (Switzerland) and continued at the Academy for Circus and Performance Art (Netherlands), where she graduated in 2013. During her formation Anni developed a striking juggling style and since then has been performing her charming brand of artistic club juggling at events around the world. Her acts are shaped by conceptual ideas coming from Performance Art. As a performer she always looks for authenticity on stage.
The performance which Anni will present at this year's JJF is a custom made creation around her two acts Paganini and Take Wing.
"Paganini" is a very simple piece: one club, one woman, and a challenge...
This act breaks with anything you might know about juggling! It surprises with many tricks out of the ordinary.
Accompanied by classical music Anni manipulates the club with skill and remarkable precision. Now and then she gets roped into tricky positions, which she escapes elegantly with a dash of irony.
"Take Wing" is a high energy juggling act showing finest club juggling and manipulation set into a dancelike and playful choreography. Be carried away by the positive drive of this piece and taken aback by its innovative and modern juggling.”
