Simon Says
Outline
Simon Says is a game in which jugglers have to follow the instructions
of the leader without dropping a ball, with the last person remaining
declared the winner. Anyone with 3 balls is able to take part!

Rules
- When the leader says “Simon says xxx”, participants must complete the xxx action.
(Example) “Simon says stand on one leg” = Participants must stand on one leg while juggling.
- If the leader does not say “Simon says” and says an action, those participants who do the action are out. Those participants who go out must then sit on the floor.
- If a ball is dropped or instructions are not followed correctly, that person is out.
- The last person remaining is the winner.
Juggling Yes/No Quiz
Outline
Try testing your knowledge about juggling!
Questions ranging from simple to very complex have been prepared.

Rules
- The answers to each question are simply “Yes” or “No”. If you think the answer is correct, select “Yes”. If you think the answer is incorrect, select “No”.
- When answering, the tennis court will be split into two sides by the net, with one side representing “Yes”, and the other side representing “No”. You have 20 seconds to answer the question.
- If you answer incorrectly, you are out.
- The title of Quiz King will be given to the last person remaining.
Joggling
Outline
Let's run under the Autumn sky!
Starting time
12th October (Sun) 10:00-11:00
Location
Sports Hall 3rd Floor (Roof) Tennis Courts
Rules
- A running competition which combines juggling and jogging.
- If a ball is dropped, you must return to the spot of the drop and then continue running.
- You are not allowed to throw the ball high and sprint until it lands, you must maintain a steady throw alongside your running pace.
Events
3 ball cascade - A lap of the tennis courts
3 ball cascade (bounce) - A lap of the tennis courts
5 ball cascade - 20m
5 ball cascade (bounce) - 20m
6 ball fountain - 10m
7 ball cascade - 10m
3 ball cascade relay - A lap of the tennis courts with 4 people
* One lap of the tennis courts is around 70m.
There is the possibility of the events being changed on the day of the joggling event. In the case of a large number of participants, a preliminary round will be held.
Combat
Outline
Juggling combat, who will be the strongest?

Preliminary round
- Battle royales will be held for all participants, with a winner chosen each time.
- After 8 participants have been selected, the preliminary round ends.
Finals
- A tournament will be held on a 1vs1 basis.
- The order will be decided by lottery.
- The semi-finals will be a first to 2 wins battle.
- The finals will be a first to 3 wins battle.
Props
The below props may be used
- Clubs (3 or more)
* Devil sticks may not be used for combat this year.
Rules
- If a club is dropped, you are out. Those who are out are required to exit the battle area.
- Attacks consist of knocking away or stealing an opponents club.
- Balance tricks using either your body or on another club are permitted.
- Holding a club between your legs or other parts of the body is not permitted.
- Attacking an opponents body is not permitted. You must attack clubs only.
- Kicking of clubs as an attack is not permitted.
- Body checking which could cause injury is not permitted.
- Attacks on hands holding a club are not permitted.
- Using clubs on the ground to attack an opponent is not permitted.
- Throwing your clubs at an opponent is not permitted.
- There may be instances where a participant is forced to retire by a judges decision.
Other
- Participants agree to the condition that the Japan Juggling Association and JJF Executive Committee can not be held responsible for any injury incurred during the battle event. In the case of injury, the issue is to be settled between both parties involved.
- Depending on the number of participants, a womens-only event may be held.
Club Holding
Outline
How many clubs can you hold at once?
In the past we have had a record of over 50 clubs!
You can participate even if you can't throw clubs!
Starting time

Location

Rules
- 2-4 participants will play the game at the same time.
- Those throwing the clubs should throw at a pace of one club per 2-3 seconds.
- Participants are allowed to use any part of their body to hold the clubs, the only rule is that a club must not be dropped. You are out if a club is not caught or an already held club is dropped.
- Even if the participant is struggling, passers must not slow the pace of the passing.
- The result is considered the number of clubs held before the drop (for example, if the 31st club is dropped, the result is 30 clubs).
- The person who is able to hold the most clubs is the winner.
Request for participants/watchers
Club holding is expected to be held directly after the combat event. Participants or watchers of the combat event are asked to donate their clubs for the club holding event if possible (any type of club is acceptable). In addition, participants to throw clubs are required, so those who are willing to help are welcomed.
[Caution] Regarding the possible cancellation of events held at the tennis courts due to the risk of dengue fever
The below events are planned to be held at the tennis courts at JJF2014.
However, in accordance with the closing of Yoyogi Park due to the risk of dengue fever, the National Olympics Memorial Youth Centre, which is located nearby, has placed restrictions on the use of outside facilities.
In the case of restrictions still being in place during the JJF, the tennis court event may be cancelled, or have the date/time changed.
