Workshops

Overview

In workshops you can share your knowledge and skills with other fellow jugglers. From very beginners to the most advanced jugglers, there are many different types of workshops available.
In the past JJFs, in addition to workshops to teach how to practice a specific technique...

-Talk sessions on juggling events in other countries.
-Breakout sessions where jugglers of the same prop gather to exchange and demonstrate techniques.
-Talk sessions to discuss juggling from various angles.
-Lectures on how to make your own juggling props
and so many more that go beyond the framework of teaching have held. It's a good opportunity for you to get to know more jugglers as well.

How To Join

Find a workshop you want to join and just jump in. No reservation or extra payment is needed. Some workshops require specific props etc. so read the overview carefully.

As a trainer for the social circus organization "SLOW CIRCUS", I also teach juggling at various places.
Social circus is a form of circus that aims to nurture participants' communication and other skills through the practice and performance of circus techniques. "SLOW CIRCUS" conducts circus programs, including juggling, mainly at welfare facilities for the handicapped and corporate training sites.

As jugglers, we all have opportunities to "teach juggling to beginners", such as at welcome parties for new members of juggling clubs or at trial events.

This event is a roundtable discussion in which participants will share examples with each other on the theme of "teaching juggling to beginners".

Please tell us what you are doing to teach juggling to beginners in your own way, what you are having trouble with, or what you are worried about.

Trick rope was started as a cowboy’s play and was developed as a part of performance in Rodeo.
In this workshop I’ll teach you how to do some basics, namely flat loop and catch.

Please stretch your arms and back well in advance. Ranmawashi (spinning a ball on an umbrella) is not a trick that can be learnt overnight. The most important thing is the heart to endure daily repetitive practice.

Participants are invited to experience the sequence of steps (making the moves and connecting them) as done by kikyuuiki. I hope you will find it useful as a way of thinking when creating team juggling.

-The workshop will basically proceed as a team unit, but we will assign people in a good way on the spot, so feel free to join by yourself.
-Marking your props somehow is recommended as we might mix them up during the workshop.
